You can also place a video as a background in most places where you can select an image as a background; background video’s do not include sound and we advise using inspiration video’s. We support video players such as YouTube and Vimeo and HTML5 video formats (webm and mp4).

Yes. In your Settings you can choose or upload any font you like to use. This can be done through Adobe TypeKit and Google Fonts.

Yes. WP-Magazines provides the option to add your own CSS code. This makes it possible to build unique designs you’ve created yourself.

Yes. Log in to the CMS and go to the menu item Users. On this page you can add users and give them the right account permissions.

Navigate to the page you’ve build and want to edit. At the top of your page you will see a blue button with the image of a baker’s hat in it. Click on the text “Classic Mode”. As soon as you do, all the blocks on the page you’ve created will change into a large section containing the HTML code. This is the code used to build the page.

You can apply simple animations such as parallax to all your placed or background images. You can find this feature in the design options in a row/column or in the main options of a single image. You can also apply CSS animations to text. These are animations that only take place when you arrive on a new page.

Navigate to the page you want to edit. At the top of your page you will see a blue bar with the image of a baker’s hat, a big plus-sign and a page lay-out in it. On the left side of this bar you can see a picture of a cogwheel. When you click on this cog you can add custom CSS code to the page.

You can style one navigation per subscription for all publications you publish. You can set up the navigation by clicking Theme Options under the menu item Appearance. In the Navigation tab, you can set your logo and corporate identity colour. In the Stay in touch tab, you can also set notifications, navigation buttons and share options. If you would like an alternative navigation for a set a publications, we advise getting a second license.

No, the navigation is a fixed element and helps the user navigate and find their place in the publication.

No, WP-Magazines offers online publications and is therefore only online accessible. You can contact us to export the publication. Changes cannot be made to an exported publication.

Yes, when you use one of our standard templates you can customize it to your fit your corporate identity and wishes.

These settings apply to all publications you create within one subscription such as logo, corporate identity, typography, google analytics code and socials share options.

Magazine settings are applied to the magazine you are working in. These settings include visibility on the kiosk/overview page, whether you want a boxed or full-browser magazine and alternative social share placement options.

Page settings are applied to a specific page in a magazine. These settings include visibility of a page in the magazine navigation.

The landingpage settings can be found under Appearance > Theme Options > Landing page. These settings are only applied to the landing page, where you can see an overview of all your magazines. These settings include changing and formatting the title and subtitle, the header image and the button texts.

No, you can set one corporate identity per subscription and this applies to all publications. If you would like a publication set that has a different branding, you will need to acquire a 2nd license.

When your page loads slowly, it is possible that your internet connection is not optimal. It is also possible that (too) large images have been loaded into the media library, which increases the loading time.

Yes, you can. If you would like to restore a deleted page go to Magazine > Pages in the left-hand sidebar. Here you can filter the pages on “Trash” to find deleted pages. When you hover over the page you would like to put back, you’ll see an option list; select “Restore”.

You can select a publication language under Appearance > Theme Options > General (Appearance can be found in the left-hand sidebar). Scroll down to the language section and select your publication language. The options include English, Dutch, French, Italian and German.

Most WordPress plugins are compatible with WP-Magazines. Is there a plugin you want to add? Please let us know. We will test it and indicate if we can add it to WP-Magazines.

A slug is the part of a URL that follows after the / and explains the content of the page.
